Vintage Original and Collectible Posters
Founded in 1969, this gallery is Chicago's oldest of its kind and remains the most comprehensive. Specializing in original Chicago railroad posters, World War posters, original fine art posters, as well as general travel, railroad, and airline posters; we offer a large selection of original poster art in a wide variety of subjects. Among our most popular images are more recent & collectible Chicago festival and event posters. Locally owned and operated, we actively contribute to Chicago's arts communities and establishments. Poster Plus is also a founding member of the International Vintage Poster Dealers Association (IVPDA).
Poster Conservation & Restoration
Poster Plus has been performing poster conservation services for over 30 years. Our clients include galleries, collectors and museums. Examples of our conservators work may be found in the Library of Congress, The Art Institute of Chicago, the Tibbals Learning Center of the Ringling Museum, The Zurich Switzerland Design Museum, and The Polish Museum of America, among others. Vintage Chicago – Poster Plus Publications
Poster Plus publications offer the most extensive selection of vintage Chicago poster art ever reproduced. Culled from hundreds of Chicago travel posters, we have faithfully reproduced over forty timeless images from the 1920’s and 30’s Chicago railroad travel advertising campaigns and both Chicago World’s Fairs.
These vintage images are reproductions of original posters that were hung in tourism offices, railway stations, ticket agencies, and other locations suitable for advertising. Our posters include images from the Chicago Transit Authority, North Shore Line, the South Shore Line, Rapid Transit and Elevated Lines posters and are available in multiple formats as magnets, note cards, framed miniatures, offset posters, and limited edition giclée posters. |
